Coaching Experience
In the 1980's James coached Junior State Squads as well as Association Squads. From 1987 - 1991 he became the first full time Tennis Professional in Alice Springs. From 1992 James has conducted his Tennis Clinics at the East Torrens Kensington Gardens Tennis Club, helping the Club to have one of the biggest Junior Memberships in South Australia.
Playing Experience
In 1980 James was voted the Best Junior Male Tennis Player in South Australia. In 1983 he toured on the International Tennis Circuit with Australians, including Mark Woodforde. In 1985 he won the Best and Fairest Senior Tennis Player in South Australia. He still plays Division 1 Competition and was the State Veterans Singles Champion (over 35) for the years 1996 - 2003.
The Coaching Staff
While James is the Head Coach, he has a team of Coaches who are competent, friendly and enthusiastic.
Coaching Accreditation
James is an Advanced Coach with Tennis Coaches Australia and is the only South Australian to have attended the 2003 and 2006 International Tennis Coaches Conference held in Sydney. This was conducted by The Nick Bollettieri Tennis Academy (former coach of Agassi, Williams and Kournikova).
